AIMS Lectures 2024

"AIMS Lectures" initiative is a annual school that takes place at AIMS-Senegal as part of the German Research Chair in "Mathematics and its Applications" held by Mouhamadou Sy. For each year a topic is selected among areas of mathematics linked to the chair's program and is intended for young researchers and graduate students. The courses are tailored to provide a strong introduction to a research area giving both a friendly introduction and an exposition of important research directions and applications.

The 2024 Edition is devoted to "PDEs and Randomness". This is a rapidly growing area with a strong community of researchers across the world. During the event, 3 full courses and 3 special lectures will be delivered from July 1st to 5th. A conference will be held on July 6th and 7th. The 2024 edition gathers specialists in various fields related to probability and the analysis of PDEs; interactions between these two areas are strongly highlited.

The full courses will be given by:

  • Prof. Florian Bechtold (University of Bielefeld, Germany)
  • Prof. Nicola Kistler (Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany)
  • Prof. Olivier M. Pamen (AIMS Ghana and University of Liverpool (UK))

Special lectures by:

  • Prof. Jacob Bedrossian (University of California Los Angeles, USA)
  • Prof. Xueying Yu (Oregon State University, USA)
